UTT students prepare for Chanukkah
with a hands-on lesson about making oil
All students at both UTT campuses were treated to an olive oil making lesson courtesy of The Living Legacy hands on ‘Olive Oil Making’ programs. Students were thrilled to actually see the oil come out of the olives through a special press that replicated how it was made years ago. Seen here is Grade 1, UTT Snowdon student Emily Dumitru, who was a very willing assistant in the making of the oil. The first of 8 candles for this holiday, also known as the Festival of Lights, should be lit before sundown on Friday, December 11.
